Heated Hose

A range of Flexible Heated Transfer Hoses developed for use in Co-Extrusion.

Electrical

The electrical supply (230V 50/60Hz) and the thermocouple (Fe-CuNi - J Type as standard) are connected by a 7 pin plug and a 1.5 metre long flying lead through the end cap of the hose.

The heating element is spirally wound along the length of the hose thereby optimising the heat distribution over the length of the hose.

The heated hose must be connected to a suitable temperature controller to prevent overheating and damage.

Temperature control units can be supplied if required.

Core

Core

The core is a PTFE lining with a nominal bore from 6 to 25 mm diameter to suit the application.

The PTFE lining is reinforced by two wound and one braided layer of steel wire.

Steel Wire

The length of the hose is to suit your requirements.

The maximum working temperature is 250 deg. C.

The working pressure and bending radii are as follows:

End Fittings

The size fittings is dependent on the nominal bore of the hose. Metric or BSP thread fittings can be supplied.

Standard fittings are BDN type.

The bore of the fittings will be smaller than the bore of the hose core.

The material used to manufacture the fittings will vary depending on the material to be extruded.

End Caps

The end caps can either be hard or soft silicone depending on the application and temperature.
